Evita's Michael Cerveris to Headline Bye Bye Hurricane Benefit Concert

Evita star Michael Cerveris and his band Loose Cattle will join musician Rosie Ledet and the Zydeco Playboys for the fourth annual Bye Bye Hurricane Season Party benefit concert. The performance will be held on November 30 at the Midtown venue Connolly's.

Presented by Evacuteer.org, the concert will benefit the Tunnel to Towers Foundation's Hurricane Sandy relief efforts. Dedicated to training and supporting evacuation volunteers and educating the public in disaster prepardness, Evacuteer hosts a celebration of the official end of the Atlantic Hurricane Season each year.  

Cerveris currently appears as Juan Peron in Evita. He earned a Tony Award for Assassins, and will reunite with the musical's cast for a one-night-only benefit performance of the Sondheim show on December 3. His other Broadway credits include In the Next Room...or the Vibrator Play, Hedda Gabler, Cymbeline, Lovemusik, Sweeney Todd and Titanic.
